The Bindweed

The bindweed (Convolvulus arvensis) is a plant from the wind family (Convolvulaceae). It is found in grassy areas, farmland, roadsides and dunes. Of the stems against the winds clockwise around things in order.


The flower is pink or white with darker stripes on the outside. The flowers have a diameter of 1.5 to 3 cm. There are five sepals with rounded teeth. The flowers have a pleasant smell. One to three flowers on a long stem with two middle bracts. The flowering period is from June until autumn.


The bindweed is a hairless capsule.


The leaves are oval to oblong and have outstanding slip to the foot.
